Gearing Up for NaNoWriMo...

Well, tonight is the local kick-off party for National Novel Writing Month. My friend Tom and I are going to go check it out. This is going to be a stressful month for me. 50,000 words on a deadline. Yikes!

The good part is that I hope it will con me into a pattern of writing a certain amount each day, and that will continue beyond the contest. I've been writing very little this summer, except for poetry, and the cupboard is bare. Got to lay in some stock against the hard times, if you understand me.

So, I will be posting my progress on the site. Hopefully, 2000 words a day. That's really not that bad. Only 4 or 5 pages a day. I can do this...right?
