My First Virus of the Year

Got an email today that originally scared me a bit...until I started picking up the grammatical errors. It was titled "Illegal File Sharing" and talked about how the contents of my computer had been confiscated because downloading files was illegal, and I would be receiving a written charge soon. (Of course, it said I would be "indicated"...and I wondered where...) After some snooping on Snopes--which turned up nothing--we decided just to delete it, since the downloaded music on my computer was all from mp3.com's free download section and perfectly legal. The email had come originally to my Author's Den address and been auto-forwarded to yahoo, so I went to the other account to get rid of it there too and found that their virus software had already caught the little bug in the attachment and deleted it for me. Turned out to be a Sober (?) variant. Glad I have a computer geek in the house. The whole thing was too "Big Brother"-esque for me....
